B is for Binary

A binary code represents text or computer processor instructions using the binary number system’s two binary digits, 0 and 1. A binary code assigns a bit string to each symbol or instruction. For example, a binary string of eight binary digits (bits) can represent any of 256 possible values and can therefore correspond to a variety of different symbols, letters or instructions.

  1. The binary system is very intresting because its amazing how you can use the binary system in life to get rich and also it might be easier to some people than it is to others.

  2. I think B IS FOR BINARY is cool because it’s like your a cumputer cause i never thought that that’s what the numbers 1 and 0 is i was thinking it was like a cumputer buffer or somthing like that!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    • Computers are amazing, Jilicia. The 1’s mean the bit is “on” while the 0’s mean “off.” Like the book, said computers can’t think, they can only send and receive electrical signals. Either the electricity is on or off, and that’s all the computer knows. With the binary system, though, we can design computers to turn series of signals into numbers, words, and computer programs, like this blog!

  3. a binary code represents text or computer professor by binary numbers for example 0 and 1.it also a binary string of eight binary digits can represents 256.

  4. Im a student student at brooklyn bees and im telling you why I think B is for Binary a good way to using the binary system of because the two binary digit 0 and 1.

  5. a binary is very easy to handle with. a binary is numbers that double each time. for example: suppose you have a dollar for your first day, the next day you will have two dollars. next day you will have 4 dollars an so on so forth. just to tell you, binary is easier than abacus, even thought you have to add and subtract.

    • Saquan, you are right about binary numbers…1,2,3,8,16, etc. I think the book G is for Googol said that if you start with one penny and double the amount of pennies you have each day for 30 days you get 536,870,912 pennies (that’s five hundred million pennies!). That’s the same as $5,368,709.12 – over five million dollars!

  6. The Binary code sounds very intersting for how it looks. And if I had to choose between a penny and a million dollars,I would choose a penny that doubles.

  7. The Binary system is very interesting because it show me a different way to do math , And not everybody know how to do it , Its Not Hard you have to get the understanding of the binary system

  8. I would rather have a million dollars because if you do Binary and save pennys up by 2 it would take a long time.

  9. I think B is for Binary make you have internt because computer only go by 1 and 0 so binary made use have facebook games T.V and internt by going on youtube
